MP joins fundraising drive to replace school climbing frame

November 10, 2008 7:00 PM

Tim by the condemned climbing frame at Crosscrake School with a pupilLocal MP Tim Farron has joined Crosscrake Primary School's fundraising drive to replace their climbing frame after it was condemned.

As well as highlighting the school's fundraising drive, Tim has donated a prize for their raffle and will have a recipe in a cookbook that is being published to help raise the much-needed funds.

Tim said: "It's heartbreaking when a school has a piece of equipment like this climbing frame condemned, not just for the school but also for those in the local community who use it. I'm only too happy to help with the school's fundraising drive for a replacement, and have told the headteacher, Mrs Fletcher, that I'm happy to come along to any event and help in any way I can."

If you are a resident of the Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
