Hundreds of local residents have signed local MP Tim Farron's petition to bring radiotherapy services to Kendal. The petition comes as the next stage in bringing cancer services to the Westmorland General after a chemotherapy unit opened there this summer.
Tim says, "I'm really grateful to everyone who has signed up to the campaign. If you haven't done so already, please sign the petition today so we can show the NHS just how much support there is for a radiotherapy unit in the South Lakes."
I/we, the undersigned, petition the NHS commissioners to support the campaign to bring a radiotherapy unit to Westmorland General Hospital. Bringing a radiotherapy unit to our area will make sure the National Radiotherapy Advisory Group's recommendation that everyone is within 45 minutes of treatment is abided by.
Even if you've already signed up to this campaign, you can use the printable petition sheet to collect more signatures from your friends and neighbours.
You could go door to door on your street or pass the sheet around at a local event. Good places to leave a few copies include shops, pubs, libraries, and post offices - but don't forget to collect them and send them back to us.
When complete, please return (as soon as possible) to: Tim Farron, Liberal Democrats, FREEPOST LA310, Kendal, Cumbria LA9 8BR.
