Tim Farron MP - Working for Westmorland and Lonsdale

Calling notice - Launch of Carbon Footprints Bid

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 27th Mar 2006

Date: Thursday, 30 March 2006

Time: 1-1.30pm

Where: Ghyllside Primary School, Gillinggate, Kendal, LA9 4JB

Reason: Launch of a bid to DEFRA. The bid seeks to gain funding for a project which will engage children, parents and the local community in responding positively to climate change. Many schools in the Kendal area will be participating in this project to work out their school's Carbon Footprint, identify areas for change and carry these out with the ultimate aim of reducing our Carbon Footprint. If this project goes ahead, the Kendal area should become England's flagship area for sustainability conscious schools.

Local MP Tim Farron will be present at the launch of the bid along with those involved in its submission.
