MP out in the cold!

11.15.02am GMT Wed 24th Jan 2007

Local MP, Tim Farron will join local campaigners for a cold night sleeping out at Kendal Castle on Saturday 27th January.

Tim and supporters of Manna House - South Lakeland's charity aimed at supporting people in need of housing - will be sleeping out to raise money to help local homeless people, and to raise awareness of this issue.

"There are hundreds of people in South Lakeland who are inadequately housed, some of whom sleep rough.

"Manna House does an outstanding job in supporting these people. I am pleased to have the chance to support them by spending a night out at the castle."

Tim will be manning a stall on the High Street from 1.30pm until 2pm on Saturday the 27th of January, with the aim of raising sponsorship funds and awareness of the event.
