South Lakes MP Tim Farron will be delivering local produce to Crosthwaite Village Hall as part of one of beelocal's first shopping deliveries tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

beelocal has recently set up to provide people in South Lakeland with the opportunity to buy local produce on line and have it delivered to their door - in the same way as many of the supermarkets. The difference is that everything that you buy via beelocal is from a local provider.

Speaking before taking to the road Tim said, "beelocal gives our communities the chance to support local traders from the comfort of their home - it means that independent providers such as butchers, grocers and brewers can compete against the might of the supermarkets. It's a real privilege to be able to roll my sleeves up and help the guys at beelocal on one of their first ever deliveries."
