Farron comments on news that UK will provide further non-lethal support to Ukraine

Tim speaking in ParliamentCommenting on news the UK will provide further non-lethal support to Ukraine by sending advisory and short-term training teams to build the capacity and resilience of its Armed Forces Liberal Democrat Foreign Affairs spokesperson Tim Farron said:

"In the face of Russian-backed aggression, Liberal Democrats in Government are committed to help Ukraine deal with the worrying situation they face in the east of their country.

"The UK is committed to providing Ukraine extra non-lethal support which will help the Armed Forces build up and maintain the resources that it badly needs.

"This adds to the efforts the UK has already undertaken through NATO and bilaterally. As committed Europeans and internationalists we will continue to work with our partners abroad to support Ukraine."
