South Lakes MP Tim Farron is urging the public to help save Kendal's mental health ward by filling in a survey to make their views known to health bosses.
The survey is part of a public consultation process, prior to a decision being made about the future of the Kentmere mental health ward later this summer.
The survey will be live until the 8th July, and can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/kentmere
A drop-in session is also being held tomorrow (Thursday 30th June) for those able to turn up in person.
The ward was originally due to be closed at the end of June, leading to a public outcry opposing the closure. Following this, the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust agreed to look again at the decision.
Tim said: "My thanks go to the many thousands of people who have already spoken out about this. Together, we have forced health bosses to listen to our views - now we must make sure they act on them. I'd urge people to take five minutes to fill in this quick survey and to make it clear that they oppose the closure of the mental health ward and the removal of these important services from South Lakeland."
