Local councillor presses ahead with clean up on Ambleside estate

September 4, 2018 5:06 PM

Ambleside councillor Vicky HughesLocal Lib Dem councillor Vicky Hughes is continuing to work with the local community to give an Ambleside estate a much needed clean-up.

New fences are in place on the Kirkfield estate as part of work to tidy up the area.

Now the fences are up, attention will turn to clearing litter and other debris from the stream through the estate.

Vicky says, "Myself and the local Lib Dem team have taken on board issues raised with us on the doorstep and are happy that work is now under way to clean-up the estate.

"The stream through Kirkfield was looking unloved, and the broken fences posed a danger to residents.

"Hopefully this work will make the estate look better as well as being safer."
