Tim Farron: Lib Dem by-election win in Shap shows people have had enough of Conservatives failing Cumbria

November 15, 2019 9:53 AM

Commenting on last night's by-election result in Shap which saw the Liberal Democrats gain the seat from the Conservatives, Tim Farron said:

"I want to say a massive well done to the Liberal Democrat team in Shap and Neil McCall who will be a fantastic local councillor.

"The result shows that people in Cumbria have had enough of the Conservatives neglecting our area, cutting our NHS, schools and police.

"On December 12th people have the chance to send out an even stronger message, by electing hard-working Lib Dem MPs who work hard all year round and don't just show up at election time wanting your vote."
