Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron was quizzed by children from 15 local primary schools at a recent meeting of the South Lakes Pupil Parliament at the Netherwood Hotel in Grange.
Questions ranged from why Tim became an MP, to what can be done to tackle climate change, to whether or not Tim likes pineapple on his pizza.
Speaking afterwards, Tim said: "It was an absolute joy to answer so many intelligent and brilliant questions from so many different local schools.
"Their understanding and passion on lots of big, important issues - particularly climate change - was really impressive.
"The pupils were fantastic ambassadors not only for their schools, but for their local communities too, and I look forward to seeing many of them in the House of Commons in 20 years time!"
